How this is worked out

The calculator uses the resting energy formula from the AAHA nutrition guidelines (70 × body weight in kg to the power of 0,75) and multiplies it by a factor for life stage. Treats count too: keep them to about a tenth of the day’s food. See the Yorkie feeding guide.
